Bret Weinstein on the coming Pole Shift

Bret Weinstein was recently interviewed on a variety of topics endangering humanity and within a few minutes started talking about the upcoming pole shift catastrophe, which he agrees is due in our lifetime:

This was brought to my attention by a scientist not just because he’s a good friend or a fan of my pole shift book (though he is) but because he thinks it shows that Ben Davidson is the official poster boy for pole shifts from a US Government perspective - his version of coming events is the version permitted to be discussed and promoted.

That being said I think almost everything Ben says on the subject is correct, including that our solar system crosses through the oscillating waves of the midplane of the galactic magnetic field and that is the primary trigger for pole shift catastrophes - as our solar system moves through the wave into a region of reversed polarity the galactic field overwhelms the geomagnetic field, causing it to weaken to near zero and flip.

The flip is not merely magnetic, the crust detaches from the layers beneath and we experience earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and the movement of entire continents into new climate zones and new altitudes - sometimes with land rising out of the sea, and sometimes disappearing beneath sea level - which you’ll remember, is affected by the equatorial bulge. Generally lands moving away from the equator will seem to rise and lands moving close to the equator will submerge.

The sun is affected too, and likely experiences a flip and a micronova which burns the sun facing part of the Earth. This helps explain the many myths of destruction by fire or water, of being kicked out of ancient homelands by God when the land suddenly freezes or submerges or burns. The destruction is savage enough that civilization is reduced to legend and most of the world dies.
