Facts & Fiction in the Las Vegas Shooting
Stephen Paddock, a 64 year old man with no criminal history, does not fit the profile of a shooter for this type of event. He has no military training, and his brother says when he moved the suspect into a retirement community a few months ago, there were no guns among his possessions.
Mass shooters are usually 20-40 years younger than Mr. Paddock. They are often affiliated with troublesome fringe groups. They are usually motivated by revenge, or at least envy. The shooter does not appear to be affiliated with Islamic terrorism. He did not fire on a crowd of a different race or ethnicity, or even supporters of a particular political party or special interest. In the first 24 hours, we have no motive, no criminal activity, no mind-altering medications, nothing...
He used a submachine gun ("sub" referring to the relatively small/weak calibers below machine gun size bullets) which you can hear the typical sounds of in the clip below:

The shooter fired at the crowd from a distance of about a thousand or more feet away.
Over such a distance, the kinetic energy of the bullets is reduced more than 50%. Bullets which, allegedly, were smaller caliber to begin with.
The number on the bottom right, 443 foot-pounds of energy, is far less than the 985 foot-pounds of kinetic energy at close range. And the actual distance seems higher than 300 yards, so the effectiveness of his shots would be significantly reduced due to distance. Yet he achieved the highest body count in America's mass shooting history, with 58 dead (so far) and 515 wounded.
The shooting had to be pre-meditated and somewhat well-planned. You don't spontaneously have such an arsenal in your hotel room. He must have planned ahead, known of the concert outside, and made sure he had a view. He must have planned on how to get such an arsenal past security.
So why didn't he choose a hotel CLOSER to the concert? The Luxor is behind the "C" in Concert in the map above. A shorter distance would have made the bullets more lethal - and maximum killing is something the shooter seemed to be interested in.
Could this impressive number of kills have occurred because there is more to the story?
Some suggest it was a false flag and that: "there was more than one shooter.
Listen to the tape at RT and you'll hear two different automatic weapons firing; one has a heavy thumping sound like an AK47 and the other is a lighter report, similar to an M-16.
The guns are heard separately and together." Listen: Footage with sound of multiple gunshots .
...David Knight hosts a show on Alex Jones' Infowars channel, and suggested: "Democrats — are suspected of planning “false flag” events to influence legislation in Congress.
“Now we have some massive legislation that is working its way through a Republican Congress and we have the largest shooting,” he concluded. “Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Maybe it’s just serendipity for those who want gun control. But I am a bit more skeptical of these things.”
Maybe the facts are correct and the shooting took place as described. But the shooting occurred right before a vote on gun control issues. It occurred at a useful time for anyone who wants a distraction from news of Puerto Rico, or North Korea. We might see more fishy details surface in the days to come.
