Is Obama an Enemy of Israel?

“Obama and his team have made specific threats regarding how the administration might behave toward Israel — a policy reassessment, withholding veto support at the U.N., pushing a Palestinian state at the Security Council. Perhaps later there will also be foreign aid deductions or sanctions (hey, you have to impose the sanctions on someone after lifting them from the U.S.’s new strategic partner, Iran).
One of Obama’s most cooperative enablers, journalist Jonathan Chait, in essence acknowledged that sanctions directed at Israel might be in the picture soon. Defending Obama against accusations of “being nicer to Iran than Israel,” he pointed out that Obama has not moved for sanctions against Israel yet.” Full article HERE In another article (“Obama Declares War on Israel“) Bassam Tawil notes that in 2009, Obama “raised high hopes in the Arab and Islamic countries when he rushed to deliver an apologetic speech at the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Al-Azhar University in Cairo. His speech left many Arabs and Muslims with the impression that here, finally, is an American president who is prepared to sacrifice Israel for the sake of appeasing its enemies. Muslims have long considered Obama to be on their side in the conflict with Israel. They were expecting him to become the first U.S. president to abandon Israel in favor of Arabs and Muslims. But since the 2009 speech in Cairo, there has been great disappointment with Obama in the Arab and Islamic countries for failing to “do something” about Israel. Now, at long last, the Obama Administration’s increased hostility toward Israel is being welcomed in many Arab and Islamic capitals. They are overjoyed to see that after failing the Arabs and Muslims for the past six years, Obama seems finally to be moving in the “right” direction. Terrorist groups such as Hamas, Hizbullah, Al-Qaeda and Islamic Jihad are also expressing satisfaction with what they see as Obama’s “declaration of war” against Israel. Palestinian Authority officials in the West Bank are also celebrating over the fact that Israel has become the number one enemy of the Obama Administration.” Tawil’s assessment of Obama’s Middle East policies continues: “Instead of congratulating the Israeli people for being one of the few countries in the Middle East to hold real free and democratic elections, Obama has decided to inflict collective punishment not on Netanyahu, but on all Israelis, even its Muslim and Christian citizens, for having an election that came out not the way he wanted it to. The terrorists have also been following with great enthusiasm reports that the Obama Administration is considering reassessing its policy — that the U.S. no longer considers Israel a strategic ally in the Middle East. In short, Obama’s anti-Israel stance is the best gift the Americans could have given to Muslim terrorists and radical Arabs. Obama also seems not to want to face the fact that because of his withdrawals and neglect, the situation in the Middle East today, with the rise of Islamic State and other terror groups, is not the same as it was even five years ago. Thanks to Obama’s policies, the Iranians and their friends are now in control of Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon, and much of Bahrain, and have surrounded the oilfields of the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile the U.S. has been forced to close down its embassies in three Arab countries — Syria, Libya and Yemen. Even Palestinians and Arabs are aware of the fact that under the current circumstances a Palestinian state would sooner or later be controlled by jihadists and Islamic terrorists, whose dream is the destruction of Israel, Europe and the U.S.” * What the Obama administration does in regard to Israel reminds me of Genesis 12:3 – and the idea that America (which I suspect is Mystery Babylon) will be brought down for abandoning everything it once stood for. As John Hagee commented: Genesis 12:3 “And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed.” Point: God has promised to bless the man or nation that blesses the Chosen People. History has proven beyond reasonable doubt that the nations that have blessed the Jewish people have had the blessing of God; the nations that have cursed the Jewish people have experienced the curse of God.” (From: “Why Christians Should Support Israel“) The animosity Obama is starting to show towards Israel seems rooted in Obama’s apparent love of Iran and of Islamic Fundamentalism/Extremism/Radicalism/Literalism in general – and Israel standing in their way. Obama probably also views the return of the Jewish people to Israel as if they are European colonizers seizing Arab land over which they have no historical claim. (And as Dinesh D’Souza has pointed out so eloquently, Obama does not like European colonizers.) Such a view of Israel seems crazy to me, but I know that before there were Arabs there a thousand years ago claiming the land for Islam – Jews were in Judea 3,000 years ago. I wish the inhabitants of the Middle East felt it is big enough to share. I wish opposing religious views could be tolerated peacefully. I wish more Muslims were aware of their own holy book, as the Qu’ran comments on the Jewish people and their right to the land: In Surah (chapter/verse) 5:18 the Qu’ran talks about “the Jews” and continues in 5:19 referring to them as the “People of the Scripture” (though the verse also says “there has come to you Our Messenger to make clear to you [the religion] after a period [of suspension] of messengers” – telling the Jews that Mohammad has brought Islam to them to correct the warped and altered religious messages taught by Jews and Christians…) Verse 5:20 continues “when Moses said to his people, ‘O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone’” and verse 5:21 says “O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back.” (LINK) Such verses in the Qu’ran certainly seem to indicate that Mohammad believed Allah wanted the Jews to live in their historical homeland. In addition to the Qu’ran, the Bible does not share (what I assume is) Obama’s apparently anti-israel view of the Jews returning to Israel – the Bible tells us that the return of the Jews to Israel is the promise of God Almighty being fulfilled. God promised the Jewish people that after a long period of suffering for their collective sins, “I will bring you back to the land of Israel” and “I will settle you in your own land.” (Ezekiel 37:12&14) Personally, I don’t think that Obama will act like an outright enemy of the nation of Israel yet. America’s relationship with Israel has clearly shifted from being friends to being frenemies (as I believe Edward Snowden put it – when America starts treating friends like enemies) but the two countries are not enemies, and even President Obama does not treat the Israeli nation as an outright enemy – yet. But I suspect that his true plans for Israel, restrained for now, will become obvious to everyone no later than 2016. Read – Antichrist 2016-2019: Mystery Babylon, Barack Obama & the Islamic Caliphate
