As I have argued previously, Obama wants American power and influence to collapse, and he is doing a great job making sure it happens.  Putin, looking out for Russia's best interests, is picking up the slack - and dominating Syria.  Iran is moving into Iraq, after Obama purposefully engineered their cover story - they are there to help the US fight ISIS, not to take over Iraq.

I'm telling you, what Obama does is calculated, not naive.  Do not underestimate him.
