The Sanhedrin vs. The Vatican

The Sanhedrin were the top 71 Jewish scholars and sages who, in ancient times, were the legislative body of the Jewish people - interpreting religious and civil law, somewhat like a combination of the equivalent of the Supreme Court and Congress. For almost 2000 years, the Sanhedrin had ceased to exist. In 2004, with Israel's top scholars and prophecy experts very concerned about trends and developments affecting the near future, the Sanhedrin was re-established. I know it sounds lame to suggest the following, but I wish I was free to reveal some of the things they have done this year that are so relevant to unfolding Bible prophecy - and I am bound not to clarify everything at this time.
What I can say is that the Sanhedrin is angry at the Vatican and the current pope for making the unilateral decision to officially recognize the Palestinian Arabs as a separate and independent nation. Even some Jordanians will acknowledge that Jordan already is the Arab nation of Palestine, where about 80% of the population identifies as Palestinian. No matter - Jordan lost territory to Israel, Arabs still live there, and they want another independent nation. The pope will give them one if he can. The Sanhedrin have said to the Vatican that if the pope does not recant this decision, the Sanhedrin will put the Vatican on trial in the Jewish religious court at Mt. Zion, and bring prophetic judgment down upon the Vatican, as they believe was predicted long ago.

Or you can watch this video in which Lisa Haven discusses the upcoming July 12 announcement by the Temple Institute in Jerusalem (probably, many assume, that they will reveal imminent plans to rebuild the Third Temple) and the rift between the Vatican and the Sanhedrin.
All these things give additional merit to the idea that the end times are upon us and that the Temple, the Antichrist, and the Second Coming are not far off.
