Welcome to the Liberal Sanctuary City of Failure and Feces a.k.a. San Francisco

"The squalor we saw in The City was frightful. San Francisco has always been one of favourite US cities, but the degree of homelessness, mental illness and drug abuse we saw on this trip was truly shocking."

That was the quote that hooked me to look at this article at Zerohedge.com, in which Bill Blain gives a European perspective on this slice of California: "I found it quite shocking the number of folk sleeping rough on the sidewalks, the smell of weed and drug impedimenta everywhere, the filth, mental illness and degradation on view just a few meters from the financial centre driving Silicon Valley. It’s a city where the destitute seem to have become invisible to the Uber hailing elites. We found ourselves hopping on one of the beautiful F-Route Trolley Buses to find nearly every seat occupied by someone lugging around their worldly possessions around in a plastic bag. It was desperately sad." Another article some time ago pointed out: "A recent NBC Bay Area investigation went viral after exposing an alarming amount of trash, drug needles, and feces scattered across San Francisco.

The report centered around a 153-block survey of downtown San Francisco, which revealed trash on every block, 100 needles, and more than 300 piles of feces along the 20-mile stretch of streets and sidewalks."

But as California refuses to enforce reasonable laws and proudly displays Trump Derangement Syndrome it shows more signs that it has gone off the deep end on the extreme LEFT.... it rewards failure, and subsidizes more welfare and illegal immigration than anywhere else I can think of.  Well, whenever you give money as a reward for a behavior, you encourage more of it.  So San Francisco and California can expect much more of the same, until it stops encouraging it. I think when you hit this level of failure, it is time to re-assess the social programming.  Maybe instead of rewarding drug addiction reward employment; instead of announcing being a lawbreaking sanctuary city for illegal immigrants, reward legal immigrants... maybe a plan to get local pro athletes to go out into neighborhoods with high school classes to clean up the city block by block could get some volunteers...
