Vangelia Gushterova, better known as Baba Vanga, (1911-1996) who is often referred to as the Bulgarian Nostradamus or the Nostradamus of the Balkans, was a blind prophet taken quite seriously by the leadership of Bulgaria, and eventually the Soviet Union. But she never wrote anything down, and her predictions are subject to worse manipulation than most other sources like Nostradamus - who at least wrote his own books to document what he saw in future times.
